Does anyone know how to sharpen the blades on a pair of hair clippers?

I don't have a good visualisation of what hair clippers look like, but these are good for scissors:

if they're more like shaver style - you may be buggered. Although you could always start up your own business...

Intriguing. My Dad says that when he was young, the saw-sharpener used to make the rounds of the villages every few months, sharpening everyone's saws (and possibly scissors etc.) Nice to know that that industry still exists in these throwaway days.

Googling, it looks like I'll have to pay about £5 plus p+p to get my blades sharpened. They've lasted me about four years so far, and I think I can stand to pay £1/year for haircuts :-)

Scissor sharpeners: good call, I should get some of those. Knife sharpeners tend to mess up the shape of the edge, I've found.

yes, that is the slight downside to that option

What, you mean the option is the downside to itself?

Fucking Zen Pinko.
