One for all you chemists out there (er, so that would be adqam, then).

1. Invent a process for making industrial sapphire really cheaply.
2. Market the sapphire to manufacturers of mp3 players, PDAs, phones, laptops, etc - hey presto, scratch-proof gadget screens!
3. PROFIT!!!!!

I'm more comfortable with:

1) Invent the aforementioned process
2) Market to the aforementioned customers
3) .....
4) Profit!

I guess it all comes down to the part of the internet you come from.

I guess that this is actually my field, so maybe I'll look into it (what, with all that free time I have).

Well, the canonical format is

1. Steal underpants
2. ???
3. PROFIT!!!

Either the three-stage bit or the ??? bit had to go, and I opted to keep the number of stages... besides, I don't think there's that much of a ??? stage in this plan :-)
