The OULES incest graph left 2-d space in about 2003, if I recall... Did you see this (http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/050124_sex_school.html)? It's some graphing of sexual networks in high-schoolers. Almost entirely planar, surprisingly.
I suppose if you were modelling the evolution of relationships throughout time, you'd need four dimensions - three for the graph, and one for time.
