wormwood_pearl, that is. We're going to Prague for eight days, hurrah! As you may already know, I used to live in Prague about seven years ago (hence the username), but I haven't been there since, oooh, 2001 or so, and I'm looking forward to seeing how much it's changed (hopefully the stag-nighters haven't wrecked things too much). Apologies in advance for not checking email much.
In other news, I didn't get a theatre slot for Arcadia. I'd put in the proposal form about a week ago, only to learn that I'd somehow got one with a page missing. The missing page was, of course, the one asking questions about difficult technical bits and copies of the script and, oh yes, MONEY. So I strolled up to the STaG room yesterday at about five o'clock, picked up the missing page, realised that I didn't have the first idea what the budget was, tried to call my Money People, found they weren't answering their phones (in one case, I only found this after following a trail of three "try me on this number..." messages!), and wrote "Er, sorry, I don't actually have a budget..." on the form. I then ran back to my flat, fetched a copy of the script, got back, and discovered that I was expected to hang about in a hot room for over an hour while they called the prospective directors in for interview and discussed their choice.
To my complete lack of surprise, they gave the slot to someone-I've-acted-with-but-don't-know-all-that-well who was wanting to do A Midsummer Night's Dream. In November, which could be interesting... I shall of course audition. Oh yes. I think I'd make a great Bottom. And I'll look around for other theatres in which to perform Arcadia.
Right, now to find somewhere that will sell me Czech crowns at 1710... maybe I should have lingered for less time over breakfast and packing this morning.
